Dothan Police have identified the man wanted in a weekend murder investigation.

They're looking for Brandon Allen Ransom. The 29-year-old is accused of shooting and killing Christopher Jamel Bailey early Saturday morning in the parking lot of the Plum's Lounge.

Ransom will be charged with Murder.

Dothan police obtained a warrant Saturday for a man they believed committed a murder earlier in the day.

Christopher Jamel Bailey, 26, was gunned down in the parking lot of Plum’s Lounge along Montgomery Highway. Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd said Bailey had been shot about five times.

The warrant charges an acquaintance of Bailey’s with murder. At the request of police, WTVY is holding the name until Monday when a press conference will likely be held.

Though investigators have released no motive, people who know the men say they were involved in an ongoing feud and the shooting was likely gang related.
