JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) -- A person is dead after a crash in Jackson County involving a motorcycle and a truck Tuesday afternoon.

Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say a truck was driving along Highway 77 behind a motorcycle. They say the driver of the motorcycle, a 24 year-old man from Graceville, slowed down to make a turn into a private driveway. They say the driver of the truck, a 51 year-old man from Chipley, hit the back of the motorcycle.

Troopers say the impact of the collision caused the motorcycle and truck to become stuck together as the vehicles kept going down Highway 77 for a distance.

The driver of the motorcycle was killed and the driver of the truck had minor injuries.
