(CNN) -- The estimated $502 million Mega Millions prize is the fourth largest in the lottery's 16 year history.
The jackpot has been rolling over since the last winning numbers matched on January 5th.
That prize was $451 million and the 20-year-old winner from Florida took a lump sum payment of $281 million.
The lump sum for the current jackpot is estimated at $301 million.
The next Mega Millions drawing will happen Friday at 10pm Central.
If it seems like jackpots have been getting bigger lately, that's because Mega Millions made it harder to win in October.
That means fewer winners, but bigger prizes.
Your chances of winning the jackpot are more than two thousand times less likely than being killed by lightning.
