Dothan, AL (WTVY)-- A Houston County man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after a jury convicted him of possessing child pornography.

28-year old Cody Lee Fulgham had those images on his cell phone, according to Houston County Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Stanley who prosecuted the case.

A jury in October heard testimony from several witnesses, including Fulgham's former girlfriend, that he had downloaded images of young children from the internet.

A key component of Stanley's case involved evidence that those files had been backed up on Fulgham's personal computer.

He originally faced about 100 counts of porn possession and the jury convicted him on 92 counts. His first trial had ended in a hung jury.

Stanley said it appears none of the children depicted in the images are from the local area.

Circuit Judge Larry Anderson presided over the case.
