Lockdowns lifted at two Dothan schools

Dothan, AL (WTVY)-- Lockdowns at two Dothan schools have been lifted.

Jerry Lee Faine and Carver campuses were placed on lockdown after after an apparent strong arm robbery in the area that unrelated to the schools.

Here is the Dothan City School Facebook post made before the lockdowns were lifted:

At approximately 9:40 am on Wednesday, December 4, The Carver School for Mathematics, Science, and Technology and Jerry Lee Faine Elementary School went into a lockdown due to Dothan Police Department activity in the area. Staff has secured the areas for which they are responsible and they and students will stay inside until further notice. Traffic in and out of the area is restricted, and you are asked to avoid this area until further notice.
