OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) -- The Dale County Sheriff's Office is offering a free course for people wanting to learn how to handle a gun.
It will be held on Thursday September 12th at 5 p.m. at the Dale County Sheriff’s Office training facility.
A gun will be available for those who do not bring one.
The sheriff's office asks you bring 100 rounds of ammunition, hearing and eye protection.
"Most of our attendees are first time shooters who have never fired a gun before," said Dale County Deputy Sheriff Firearms Instructor Kendall Hatfield. "We try to keep the class small so we can get one on one attention to each of the participants."
The sheriff’s office will hold classes again on October 10th and November 7th.
For more information on how to register contact the Dale County Sheriff's Office (334) 774-3114.
