Dothan's Kelsey Barnard Clark is America's next top chef.
She beat out Sara Bradley and Eric Adjepong in the final episode of Bravo’s “Top Chef” to take the top prize.
She's also just the fourth woman to do so.
"To all the little girls and all the little boys, and everyone in the world, you can do everything and you can just try hard and be a good person and a kind person," said Clark.
As the winner, Clark receives $125,000. She will also be featured in Food and Wine magazine and appear at their Food and Wine Classic Culinary event in Aspen, Colorado, as well as a $50,000 prizing package from Williams Sonoma and a headlining slot on the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage at BottleRock in Napa Valley.
She picked up an extra $10,000 by winning the fan favorite award, an honor that was announced while she was on the air with WTVY’s Devon Sellers.
Clark said, "That means that people appreciate who you are as a person, and for me, that's all I really care about."
It also puts Dothan on the map for its food, and that’s something Clark is extremely proud of.
"Just continue to do what I've been doing, and be very much committed to downtown Dothan, and Dothan and Alabama. I obviously love it. Thank you all, everyone, this is amazing," said Clark.
Visit Dothan also unveiled a KBC peanut of Kelsey during the party.
It will be put on display in front of her restaurant.
