DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- High school seniors in Dothan had the opportunity to meet with local professionals and apply for job openings at a job fair hosted by Northview High.

Local businesses looking for full time and part time employees were there.

Students worked with their teachers before the event to prepare resumes.

Many students filled out applications and made great connections.

Most importantly, it prepared the soon to be graduates for the real world.

Adriana Wright, a senior at Northview High School says "It's kind of eye opening, It shows you what's out there, you're about to step into the real world you're no longer a kid so it's like take away the training wheels and get out there".

The job fair was put together by the partnership between the Dothan City Schools, the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Alabama Works and the Dothan Education Foundation.
