MARIANNA, Fla. (WTVY) -- A man named Jessie Jackson that was already serving time in a Florida prison has now been charged with murder.
According to Marianna police, officers found David Tinsley, 72, dead at his home on Graham Street, on January 19, 2015. There were indications of foul play in Tinsley's death.
It took more than three years of investigation, but Friday, August 30th, Jessie M. Jackson was charged with second degree murder in Tinsley's death.
Jackson is currently serving a sentence in Columbia Correctional Institute in Lake City, Florida on an unrelated charge.
Marianna Police Chief Hayes Baggett says the charge would not have been possible without the help from the 14th Judicial Circuit State Attorneys Major Crimes Division and the Florida Department Law Enforcement.
