JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Jackson County commissioners met at Marianna City Hall Monday for a special meeting.
Commissioners voted to waive all permit and community development fees for storm-related repairs or replacement units for 180 days.
People will still need to apply and get a permit or residential development order.
There is an ordinance in place restricting people from living in recreational vehicles.
At Monday's meeting, commissioners also voted to allow locals to live in RVs on private property for 180 days.
"That does not absolve any requirements that environmental health may have regarding well and septic," interim county administrator Wilanne Daniels said. "It's a different process that everyone will need to make sure they comply with."
County officials said they will be keeping track of where the RVs are being placed.
