School vacant for 40 years will soon begin new life

DOTHAN, Ala.(WTVY) -- Howell School has been vacant for 40 years and now its entered the final step of the process.

The property is being renovated to become senior housing.

Construction is set to begin at end of May or beginning of June.

The overall project will be completed by December 2019.

There will a total of 55 units.

Rental prices haven't been set yet, but they are working to make them affordable.
