Hold your nose, surveys show young people aren't wearing deodorant

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- If you're choosing to sport that "natural" scent, you're not alone. New data shows 39% of those ages 18 to 24 haven't worn deodorant or antiperspirant in the past 30 days.

To make the situation smellier, 48% say they haven't bought the products in the past year.

But the good news: that percentage goes down with age.

31% of those 25 to 34, 22% of 35 to 44 and 16% of people 45 to 54 said they haven't used the items in the past month.

While the study revealed some odd results, it didn't suggest why young adults aren't using deodorant.

The data came from polling company YouGov, which surveyed more than 52,000 people on the issue.
