DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Governor Kay Ivey will hold a joint press conference to provide further updates on Alabama’s efforts to combat COVID-19.
Joining the governor will be State Superintendent of Education Dr. Eric Mackey and State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris.
WTVY and WRGX will carry the press conference live.
There are currently two cases in Houston County according to the Alabama Department of Public Health records. There are an additional three cases from out of state.
Pike County currently has one case listed on the ADPH site. Troy University has confirmed a student and faculty member has contacted COVID-19. but it's unclear if either is the case recorded in Pike County.
The city of Troy announced this morning that an employee with minimal contact with the public has the contracted the virus.
