Georgia man charged in Thursday school threats

EUFAULA, Ala. (WTVY) -- A man in Georgetown, GA has been charged in connection with threats against local schools.

Authorities say Levi Junior Calhoun III, 27, of Georgetown, GA has been charged with Making a Terrorist Threat. Calhoun is being held in Georgia awaiting an extradition hearing.

Eufuala authorities say Calhoun will ultimately be charged with 8 felony counts of Making a Terrorist Threat. They say the unspecific nature of the threats will cause warrants to be obtained for each educational facility that was impacted.

On Thursday Eufaula City Schools, the Sparks campus of Wallace Community College and other schools in Henry County were closed due to a threatening post on social media.
