Geneva Walmart celebrates 30 year anniversary

Walmart store #1063 in Geneva turned 30 on Thursday, August 31, and four associates have been there from the very beginning.

Associates Jan Ellison, Vivian Wike, Gayle Boyett, and Mary Windham were among the store’s first associates in 1987. Much has changed over the years, but there has always been one constant- family. “Our store is like a family store,” says Wike. “We’ve all been together so long. We all see after each other and take care of each other.”

Ellison echoed the sentiment, “We’re all family. We have all seen our kids grow, and graduate from high school together. We are a very tight knit store.”
