Geneva County only had a 73% response rating in 2010, and they're looking to raise those numbers in 2020.

Every person that responds to the Census will add $1600 of federal funding to the county.

"If we're losing 20 or 30 percent of our population, we're losing a tremendous amount of money,” said Geneva County Commissioner Sandy Hammer. “We need that money coming into Geneva County."

The census also needs 160 more enumerators in Houston, Dale and Geneva Counties.

The job pays $14 an hour.
