DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- Tax season is officially underway.
If you need help filing your taxes, free services from AARP trained volunteers will be provided at the Dothan Houston County Library's main branch.
You'll need your driver's license, tax documents and social security cards for everyone on the report.
“We do try to focus on over 50. People who have pensions and social security and that kind of stuff. That's really our strong area of expertise, but we can do other tax returns,” says AARP tax aide local coordinator Becky Badham.
You can visit the downtown Dothan library on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm starting February 13th.
You have until April 15th to file your taxes with an automatic extension available to October 15th.
