Fred’s closing dozens of stores in Alabama

Alabama (WSFA) -- Memphis-based chain Fred’s announced it is closing an additional 104 stores across the country. Many of the additional stores closing can be found here in Alabama.

There are already 159 store closings that are expected to be completed by the end of May. The new 104 closures will begin liquidation sales immediately.

Of the 159 stores closing, 27 are in Alabama.
