A Wiregrass organization is planning to flip 10,000 pancakes to raise money for students across Houston County.

It’s the Kiwanis Club of Dothan’s 50th annual pancake breakfast.

Six dollars gets ticket buyers a stack of pancakes, a sausage, and a drink.

All proceeds will go towards the club's educational initiatives.

The goal is to raise $22,000 for eight high school Key Clubs, head start reading programs and college scholarships.

"When you're talking about sending children to college and handing out scholarships to them that changes their life. That's an opportunity for them to further their careers their education," says the club’s president-elect John Taylor.

The fundraiser is from 6 am to 9 am Friday and Saturday at Doug Tew Recreation Park.

The Kiwanis Club is glad to deliver for orders of ten or more.
