The first new venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics is complete.
Musashino Forest Sport Plaza will host the badminton, modern pentathlon and wheelchair basketball meets.
The Plaza West of Downtown is the first of eight facilities planned by the host city to be finished.
The project took three and a half years and cost over $300 million.
With eight badminton courts in the main arena, officials say it's Tokyo's biggest sports facility.
It has 6,000 seats of which 186 are barrier free.
The plaza is equipped with solar panels in line with Tokyo's pledge to deliver an environmentally friendly Olympics.
