PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG) --' It may not be the Central Panhandle Fair many locals are used to, but organizers say the Fall Festival at the Panama City Mall aims to keep a local fall tradition going strong.

The festival will open its gates Tuesday at 4 p.m. (WJHG/WECP)

Joseph Even, the Office Manager at Arnold Amusements said, "We've teamed up with the mall and a few of our suppliers here in the area to try and bring a little happiness back in. The city is very supportive of us and making sure everything happens."

The festival will open its gates every day starting Tuesday at 4 p.m. and at 1 p.m. on Saturday and will close at 10 p.m. every night.

Locals say it's interesting to see a fair next to a Planet Fitness.

Kristi Yanchis, a Panama City local said, "It's pretty cool. We noticed it when we drove up to the gym today. I was wondering where they were going to put it in the parking lot and now I see where."

While the Fall Festival is in a smaller setting than the normal Central Panhandle Fair some fan favorite rides still made the trip.

Even said, "We have all the little kiddie rides that start from a 32-inch height requirement and up and we go all the way up to the Zero Gravity, the Bumper Cars, the Freak Out, the Magic Carpet down on the other end, giant Ferris wheel, carousel for the little kids. We've got a pretty good selection."

Parking and admission are free all week and fairgoers will have the chance to buy a $20 armband for unlimited rides.
