Come January, Eufaula City Schools will have a new Superintendent

OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) - Change is in store for the Ozark and Eufaula City School Systems.

Come January, Eufaula City Schools will have a new Superintendent.

Joey Brannan, Jr has been elected as the Superintendent.

He's been in education for 2-decades, both in the classroom and as an administrator.

His latest administrative job: Assistant superintendent for Ozark City Schools for 4 years.

Although Brannan is looking forward to his transition, he says Ozark City Schools has been the perfect preparation for the next phase of his career.

Brannan says the goal going into his new role is to work with teachers and other administrators.

"I learned a lot here..got a chance to advance my career and learn a lot.. and you know the skills and experiences i have had here have really helped prepare me for the next phase which is moving to Eufala to be the Superintendent."

Brannan says the goal going into his new role is to work with teachers and other administrators to find a shared vision and take Eufala to bigger and better places.
