Enterprise joins state-wide revitalization project

ENTERPRISE, Al. (WTVY) - There will be changes coming to downtown Enterprise soon. Enterprise is one of four cities in Alabama selected for main street Alabama, a three year revitalization project.

The program trains officials on how to build stronger communities with goal setting, work planning, and market studies. Enterprise Tourism Director Tammy Doerer says she hopes businesses will see how much they are investing in the city.

"We are in the process, we have been in the process not only with the city corporation and with our business operators with revitalizing you will see there will be momentum and new excitement down there. Main street Alabama will bring us to that next leve,l" said Doerer.

Main Street Alabama reports that their designated communities have gained 379 net new businesses and 2,364 new jobs.
