ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- Good news for Enterprise High School! The courtyard is re-opened after years of construction.
Enterprise High School opens courtyard.
It was closed for 3-years when the cast stone facade on the building raised safety concerns. The courtyard is used for lunch and a gathering place for students. Enterprise City Schools Superintendent Greg Faught says it’s a huge milestone for the progress of the school.
"It took some time to get all of that worked out, but it's all back up fully functional, very sound structurally. It just means the world to our staff to our students and our community to have it back open."
Crews are still working on stone work on the exterior of the building. Faught says he hopes it will be finished by February.
