DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - One hour after opening its gates, Landmark Park sold out of its pre-sale eclipse glasses. People were lined up outside the park gate before it opened Thursday morning.

The park had between 500-700 pair of glasses available, they were donated by area schools that decided to close for Monday’s event. This is the second time the park has sold out of its pre-sale glasses.

“If you weren’t able to get glasses during the pre-sale, don't worry,” said Laura Stakelum. “We will have 300 pair to give away on the day of the eclipse to the first 300 people who come in. We'll also have several hundred for sale for $3.00 on that day as well.”

The gates will open at Landmark Park on Monday morning at 9:00 am. Admission is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for children and children under 2 get in free. There will be wagon rides, craft activities, and planetarium shows.
