Funeral Arrangements for Early Co. Tax Commissioner Sylvia Hood

Funeral arrangements have been announced for long-time Early County Tax Commissioner Sylvia Hood.
The funeral will be Thursday, November 3rd at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm ET. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1 pm.
Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.
Hood served as Early County Tax Commissioner for several terms. She was killed in a head-on crash on Tuesday. Sylvia Hood was 65 years old.

65-year-old Sylvia Hood worked in the County Tax Office for 38 years.
The accident happened on Highway 39 South and 3 Notch Road, as she was heading to work.
Sylvia was married to Kevin Hood Sr. She had a son, stepson, and one grandson and a step-daughter.
Early County Board of Commissioners Chairman June Merritt was a good friend of Hood's, and says she was a fun, hardworking and energetic person to work with.
Merritt says Hood planned on retiring in two months.
Sylvia hood, Early County Tax Commissioner, was 65 years old.
