Two arrested in Alabany, GA murder of Dothan man

Albany Police charge two Albany men with Felony Murder in the shooting death of 45-year old Chevalier Kenyatta Paul.
Dontavious Wingfield, 26 and Demond Wingfield, 19 are currently booked in the Dougherty County Jail.
Dontavious Wingfield was involved in violent Home Invasion at the Royal Inn back in May. The cousins were arrested last night after APD Officers made a felony stop at Pointe North and Dawson Road at the Homerun Food.

The Dougherty County coroner says the victim is 45 year old Chevalier Paul. He was set to get married this weekend.

FROM WALB -- A Dothan man has died after a shooting in Albany early Wednesday morning.

Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 900 block of Mercedes Street shortly after 5 a.m. This is just a few blocks away from ASU's campus.

When officers arrived, they found a man inside a white van wounded and unconscious. The passenger side window was shattered.

Coroner Michael Fowler said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the 35-year-old victim is from Dothan, Alabama and was in Albany making a delivery to a local auto glass dealer.

Albany Police put on their Facebook page that after a preliminary investigation, detectives suspect the Alabama man completed his delivery at Albany Auto Glass and was shot after returning to the vehicle.
