DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - The Atlanta power outage also had an effect on the Dothan Regional Airport.
The airport is back up and running on its usual schedule; only a couple of flights were canceled through Dothan.
One passenger was supposed to travel from Honduras, to Atlanta, to Dothan. He was delayed about 20 hours after he was flown to Miami and spent the night there.
"It was just pretty crazy there in Atlanta,” said Stephen Sandefur. “There were thousands of people everywhere. Lines upon lines, people couldn't even get in the airport it was so backed up."
Sandefur is in the army and was traveling to Ft. Rucker for simulator training for the next couple of days.
