DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- A Dothan City Schools student has been arrested on terrorist threat charges.
Dothan police arrested a 15-year-old Dothan High School student Thursday, February 15th.
The student reportedly threatened to shoot up the school. Investigators say another student reported the threat. The school resource officer took the suspect into custody. The student has not been identified because he is a minor.
In a Facebook post, the Dothan Police Department warned students and parents that threats of any kind toward a school won’t be tolerated and would be investigated thoroughly.
Making a terrorist threat is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
