Dothan Fire manages duplex fire on Adams

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - A fire is out and traffic is moving once again at Adams and Range Street in downtown Dothan.

Just after 8 o'clock Thursday night, Dothan firefighters responded to half a duplex on fire.

They found one person outside.

He wasn't hurt.

Traffic was being re-routed around Adams and Range for two hours so no cars could drive over the hose.

"We have a lot of fire damage,” said Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams. “Not sure if it's a total loss, there are a lot of materials inside and items that are going to be salvageable. There is heavy damage to one structure. The other one only has smoke trouble at this time."

The fire department will start an investigation now to find out the cause.
