Starting July 1st there will be a $5 admission fee for anyone age 16 and above.

Members as well those 15 and under will continue to get in free.

The Gardens is encouraging people to consider membership.

The money collected at the gate will go toward maintaining the garden.

"The bigger we get the more it costs to maintain. There's grass cutting, there's tree cutting, there's planting and a lot of it is done by volunteers, but we have to go the next step," says Dothan Area Botanical Gardens' Executive Director William Holman.

Also, as of June 1st, the garden will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
