Daylight Armed Robbery in Chipley

CHIPLEY, Fla. (WTVY) -- Chipley police are asking for the public's help to find an armed robber that stole a truck and lawn equipment trailer in broad daylight.

Chipley Police say they received a call about an armed robbery on Main Street around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The robber got away with the victim's 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 truck, and 16-foot black trailer carrying 2 Exmark Laser Z 60’ zero-turn mowers, 2 blowers, and 2 weed eaters. The robber was last seen driving east on I-10. The victim was taken to a local hospital; treated for injuries, and released.

According to witnesses, the robber was a thin man between 6-foot and 6-foot 2-inches. He was wearing a t-shirt, grey jeans, and white tennis shoes.
