UPDATE: Ozark woman killed in Pedestrian accident

DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) - UPDATE (8:03am) - An Ozark woman is dead after being struck by a motor vehicle Monday night in Ozark.

According to the Ozark Police Department, it happened on 6:05pm in the area of Highway 231 and Claybank Avenue.

Authorities say that Beverly Miles was crossing the busy intersection traveling to her home. It was said she was hit more than once.

Miles, 68 years of Ozark, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dale County sheriff’s deputies were on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian Monday night.

According to the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page, it happened on Highway 231 at Claybank Avenue. The location of the crash is near Our Place Diner in Ozark.
