New changes are in store for Dothan City Schools. And school board members met today to discuss their main concern, the cell phone policy.

The cell phone policy's drafts they are focusing on, are the consequences of violating the rules.

The two main drafts suspensions and PASS Academy for students who violate the policy.

Superintendent Dr. Phylliss Edwards favors draft 3B and safety and security director, Scott Faulk explained why.

"It gives a little bit of understanding on the community end as far as were into going to go straight into 90 days pass academy but it gives a side on the education end for our teachers to say hey were not going to tolerate the disruptions in class," Director of Safety/Security/Attendance for Dothan City Schools, Scott Faulk said

The board will vote Monday night on the cell phone policy.
