Cottondale water customers under precautionary boil water notice

COTTONDALE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -- Everyone on the city of Cottondale's water system is under a precautionary boil water notice.

City leaders say all city customers must boil their water if they plan to use it after a water line repair on Highway 231. If you boil your water, it must be boiled for at least one minute. You can also use bottled water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until tests show the water is safe to drink.

If you have questions, you can call Floyd Scott, the Public Works Director, and the city of Cottondale at 850-486-6000.
