Coronavirus confirmed at Dothan nursing home
Another case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Dothan, this one at Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation. Results are pending on two other residents who have also been tested, according to Chief Nursing Officer Nathan Chase.
All three residents have been isolated and all precautions have been taken to contain COVID-19 at the facility.
The one that has tested positive is doing well, Chase said.
Chase said Extendicare is working with health officials and will provide updates, when available.
“Our priority is the safety of our residents and staff,” Chase said.
Last week, a person from Georgia tested postive after being taken to Southeast Health in Dothan for treatment.
