Columbia Police Chief fired

COLUMBIA -- (WTVY) Columbia's Police Chief was fired tonight, though he hadn't been on the job for months.
The council voted unanimously to terminate Shad Floyd for unspecified reasons.
Floyd was placed on paid leave September 9th, then suspended without pay two weeks ago.
The vote was legally necessary to terminate Floyd.
Columbia Mayor Lanny Lancaster and his wife resigned earlier this year after allegations of wrongdoing were made regarding City Senior Nutrition Program.
