Also needed are camping supplies such as tents, chairs, batteries and flashlights, as well as non perishable food items.

Donations can be dropped off at the 211 office at 545 Main Street in Dothan.

The stand-down will be November 4th.

David Duke, Executive Director for Wiregrass 2-1-1
"This is a wonderful event that the community always seems to rally, always helps the homeless in our area. We're very fortunate here and we know that by the time we get to Saturday that we are going to have this trailer full of supplies."

211 is looking for volunteers to sort through the items and take them out to the homeless.
If you want to volunteer just call 2-1-1.
