For the past month, Fort Rucker's security guards collected Thanksgiving dinner items.

Tuesday they presented their gatherings to the Coffee County Association of Service Agencies.

Officers say it’s their way of giving back to those who they share a community with.

"We got the nonperishables first and then we decided the last thing we're going to do we're going to go out there and get some turkeys and hams so everybody can have a good meal,” says Fort Rucker’s Chief Marvin Brandon.

Those donations were handed out to Enterprise Housing Authorities and Hand Up Enterprise.
