ENTERPRISE, AL. (WTVY) - The Coffee County Sheriff's Office has charged a Coffee Springs man with murder.

He's 46-year-old Joey Grissett.

The charges come after the murder of 56-year-old Ricky Brown of Opp.

Reports show Brown died due to a combination of blunt force trauma to the head and neck area.

Brown suffered from a crushed larynx as well.

A motive has not been released.

12th Circuit District Attorney Tom Anderson says "He is the only legitimate suspect and has been the only legitimate suspect from the beginning of this investigation. I'll tell you this; there have been multiple agencies that have worked all day and all night for the last week and a half to bring this to this point."

This is still an ongoing investigation.

Grissett is currently at Coffee County Jail awaiting his 72-hour appearance in court.
