City of Ozark hoping to approve Sunday alcohol sales
People in Ozark may soon be able to buy alcohol on Sunday
The city is creating a "Brunch Bill" that would allow for restaurants to serve alcohol after 10:30 A.M. on Sunday.
It would also allow people to purchase alcohol in stores after 1:30 P.M. on Sundays.
Ozark Mayor, Bob Bunting says the bill could help stimulate Ozark's economy and attract more businesses to the city.
Mayor Bunting tells us, "It's an economic development process. We're trying to help our retail industry, help our restaurants, and help us be more competitive for recruiting national restaurants, in this town."
Ozark leaders have been working on the Brunch Bill since November of 2017. Residents will vote on the issue, Tuesday, August 28th.
