SAMSON, Ala. (WTVY) -- A child was bitten in the face and shoulder by a relative’s dogs Wednesday, according to the Samson Police Department.
The 4-year-old was taken to Wiregrass Hospital.
Investigators say the child was visiting at their grandparents’ home when the attack happened.
While the grandmother was feeding the dogs, the animals started fighting. That’s when the child, in an attempt to try to stop the fight, was bitten multiple times.
Samson polices said animal control has since removed the dogs and placed them into quarantine.
The victim has since been transferred to a Birmingham hospital. The severity of the child’s injuries was not released.
