JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -- A Cottondale woman is facing charges in connection with a crash last week which seriously injured an elderly woman.

On Friday, a vehicle driven by Donna Hardman, 26, of Cottondale, was traveling on Dilmore Road and stopped at the intersection of Highway 231. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say Hardman pulled out in front of a semi driven by Donnel White Jr., 30, of Dothan.

Troopers say White tried to swerve out of the way to avoid the crash, but the cars' fronts hit.

Troopers say the semi then continued through a fence and into the Love's Travel Center parking lot. A vehicle parked with Tabathia Harrison, 70, of Chipley inside was hit.

Troopers say Harrison was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

Hardman is charged with no driver's license, failing to yield right of way, and no proof of insurance.
