Carver Museum celebrating Black History throughout February

Dothan, AL (WTVY) -- At the G.W. Carver Museum in downtown Dothan, every wall is covered with black pioneers. The museum is celebrating Black History with events throughout the month.

February 11, 2017 - Family Tour and Activity Day
Inflatables, good food, and great fun await you! Join us on the 300 block of N. Foster Street for a fun filled day honoring our history and celebrating our future!

February 18, 2017 - Dinner at the Carver
We're going back to jazzier times for our 3rd Annual Dinner @ The Carver. This semi-formal Harlem Renaissance themed affair will pay tribute to the trailblazing jazz artists whose careers were launched at The Cotton Club during the Harlem Renaissance. Bring a friend or loved one to enjoy a night of pure Black Excellence as we celebrate life, love and music with exquisite food, a Godiva chocolate bar and complimentary drinks. The Carver Museum is proud to welcome special guest band MOVE featuring Eric Essix - a 2017 Grammy Nominated Jazz Artist - for a two hour performance. The doors open at 6:30 pm and dinner will be served promptly at 7 pm.
