Can't afford your medicine? This program could help

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- SARCOA is offering a solution to those who might be worried about paying for medication.

SARCOA's SenioRx program is helping those without prescription drug coverage or struggling financially receive free prescription drugs from pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Contrary to the name, the program assists people of all ages.

SARCOA will prepare and process information after eligibility is determined through a short survey.

If you are not eligible for the program, they may be able to help you find other resources.

“We all know we don't take medication just to take them and that we have a chronic long term illness. Medications are important to people. So, that's why we're trying to do this. Trying to get the word out that help might out there and may be available for them,” says SARCOA program assistant Regine Dossett.

To get started, you should contact SARCOA at 334-793-6843 and let them know you need help with your medications.
