DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- For the tenth year in a row, about 30 kids with type one diabetes will have a place to escape.
They're gathering at Camp Sugar Falls this week at Westgate Park. The camp provides games, crafts and a community for kids who suffer from the disease.
“They get to be with kids that have the same issues they have and so they don't have to feel different, It's amazing and uplifting to all the kids," said Dr. Claude Ashley, Southeastern Pediatrician.
Dr. Ashley says if you know a child with type one diabetes and still want to participate, come to Westgate Recreation Center to join the camp.
