ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- The Downtown Enterprise Business Association is hosting the 2nd Annual Boll Weevil Arts Festival, in Downtown Enterprise on September 14th and 15th. The two-day juried art festival will showcase visual and performance artists in the Southeast in the midst of a family-friendly festival atmosphere. We will transform Downtown Enterprise into an entertainment district to create a downtown festival featuring selected artisans, student artists, market and food vendors and live performances for the whole family.
Artist exhibits, market, and food vendors will be open from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday and 11:00 am - 4:00 pm on Sunday. Art Exhibits will be located on Sessions Field on West College while food and market vendors will fill Main Street and East College on Saturday and relocate to Railroad Street on Sunday. A beer and wine garden will also be set up in the food court area on Saturday. The two-day event will also feature a fabulous line up of live entertainment beginning at 11 am Saturday on two stages, wrapping up with a 6 pm concert on the Festival Stage featuring Nashville recording artist Frank Fletcher and Tequila Bend band.
Sunday will feature live entertainment from 11:00 am – 3 pm including a worship opportunity at the mural at 11 am featuring the Ten Cities band and a message from Highpointe Church, followed by 3 more music groups. In addition, the Rawls Restaurant will be open for a special farm to table “Sunday Dinner” from 11:30 am—2pm. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 334-308-9387.
Saturday kids' activities will include hands-on art activities, train rides, balloon animals, paintball, inflatables, bungee jump, cookie decorating, build an animal, kids games and more. Sunday afternoon will have a smaller venue of kids activities and inflatables on Railroad St..
As a bonus to this year’s art festival, C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team) will also be hosting their 8th Annual Emergency Preparedness Fair at First United Methodist Church, Downtown Enterprise from 11 am – 3 pm on Saturday, Sept 14th.
