The body of a woman missing two weeks—and believed murdered---was found late Monday in a remote area of Houston County.
A man was previously charged with capital murder in Amanda Anderson’s (also known as Amanda Bond) death.
Bond’s body was located near Alabama Highway 109 near the Florida state line, according to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
Court records indicate that Anderson, 36, was struck with a large piece of wood. Joshua Tew, 29, was charged with her death following a standoff with officers October 31 even though the body had not been located.
Additional information regarding the case is expected to be released Tuesday morning.
