The program is a way to get children interested in going outside and seeing what is going on in their own backyards.
Guests were able to ask questions and take part in different ways to preserve our natural habitat.
The lesson was to teach all about insects and their importance to our environment.
“If we don’t have insects were to going to have any food to eat. There are ones that are beneficial and there are ones that are not. But the beneficial ones we have to appreciate because otherwise, we wouldn't be here because we wouldn’t have any food."
The Wacky Wednesday programs run through August and feature different educational festivities. It costs $4 for adults and $3 for kids. If you’re a park member, it’s free.
