Around 700 fifth graders take over DTC

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Around 700 fifth graders went to the Dothan Technology Center Thursday to learn about different career options in the area.

One of their first stops was in the television production classroom! These guys enjoyed playing by the green screen practicing their meteorology skills, and got a visit from some familiar faces at WTVY and WRGX.

The technology center offers about 15 different courses such as culinary arts, cosmetology. Aviation and health care.

"They’re right below six grade about to go into middle school, so they get to have an idea before they get to middle school about what they like,” said DTC student Jake Harvey.
